Happy Halloween!!

Two cute little trick-or-treaters ran around our house and neighborhood tonight...that's right...Marissa and Brayden - or should I say Mulan and Super(baby)Man.

Such Joy!

Marissa gives me such joy! Just take a look at this costume. Tonight we were playing dolls and Marissa wanted to have a dance recital for them. So, she put on an old hand-me-down costume from a friend, (and it was probably a hand-me-down from several other people) that has a permanently "up" tutu, over her pants! There is nothing I can do to move this tutu down and it cracks me up to see it worn with such seriousness by my little dancer. It's not the make fun of her kind of crack up though, because she fills me with such joy and it is so fun to watch her dance and see her mind work. When you hear us talking in the background of the video it is really "the dolls" talking as they watch her recital. Wonder if they think it looks like some kind of tribal dance...

Through Marissa's Eyes

Quite some time ago, I made a post with some photos Marissa had taken. It is always fun to look at her pictures to see how her mind works. Some of the photos just crack me up. These are not even the best ones. They're still on her camera. These were taken on mine. I also included one of Marissa in her paint shirt - about to begin painting a Chinese landscape - another of her favorite creative projects!
One thing I find so funny is that even the dogs are used to her running around snapping pictures. They aren't fazed at all when she points it at them anymore.
